Nathan A. Tash, CPA, CGA
Nathan has worked in public practice for over 12 years and has extensive experience in providing a wide range of accounting, tax, business advisory, and compliance services to owner-managed businesses, professional corporations, and individuals throughout Canada. Nathan is an instructor for the CPABC Best Practices in Practice Management course as well as an active member of the CPABC Small Firm Forum and the Accounting and Assurance PD Advisory Group Committee. Previously, Nathan was a facilitator for the CGA-BC Practice Management Course as well as a Standard Setter for CGA-Canada, Professional Applications 1 and 2, and CGA-Ontario, Applications in Public Practice and Technical Proficiency Examination.
Valerie Pearson, CPA, CGA, TEP
Val joined Tash Pearson & Associates as a partner on September 1, 2013. She brings with her over 28 years in public practice with a focus on private enterprise, and most recently earned her Tax and Estate Planner designation from the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners. Val provides a wide range of business advisory, accounting, and trust and estate taxation services for owner-managed businesses, including professional corporations, real estate development, limited partnerships, investment holding companies, proprietors, and individuals. Val is a past board member of a local Non-Profit Society that provides funding assistance for youths to participate in amateur sport.
Michael Persad, CPA, CGA
Michael has over seven years of experience in public practice accounting combined with ten years of general accounting and finance experience in a variety of industries. At Tash Pearson & Associates, Michael performs notice to reader and review engagements for owner-managed businesses and incorporated professionals, including all associated corporate and personal tax services.
Patti Lynch, CPA, CGA
Patti loves working in public practice; learning business from and educating accounting/taxes to clients; crunching numbers and reconciling a variety of portfolios and accounts. She obtained her CGA designation in 2005 and received "Successful Completion Certificate" of CPA BC's "Tax Planning and Strategies Program" and CPA Canada's first year Tax in-depth Program. Her hobby is climbing up mountains with her golden lab.
Karen Garnett
Karen has worked in Public Practice on the North Shore for over 40 years, 34 years with her first employer (until his retirement), and since then with Tash Pearson & Associates. She has experience in the preparation of financial statements; corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns; and payrolls.
Hong Lam, BComm
Hong holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and Finance from UNBC and is currently a PACE Level CGA student. She has over five years of experience in bookkeeping and related services in a variety of business industries. At Tash Pearson & Associates, Hong performs bookkeeping and related services to a number of our clientele. Other interests of Hong's include psychology and philosophy.
